Gate Valve

Gate Valve

A gate valve is a linear-motion, multi-turn industrial valve used primarily for on-off, isolation-type service by inserting a rectangular or wedge-shaped disc (the "gate") into the flow path. Designed for fully open or closed operation, it provides minimal flow restriction and low pressure drop when open.

Application:

Oil & Gas Pipelines: Used for upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, including wellhead assemblies, to isolate sections of transmission lines.
Water and Wastewater Management: Essential for municipal water supply systems, water treatment plants, and sewage processing, as they allow for easy maintenance.
Power Generation: Employed in cooling water systems, steam lines, and feedwater systems, often handling high-temperature, high-pressure steam.
Industrial Processing: Utilized in chemical and petrochemical plants, mining operations (slurry), and food processing, due to their ability to handle diverse, corrosive, or abrasive media.
Fire Protection Systems: Installed in fire fighting systems where prompt, absolute isolation of water supply is required.
