Butterfly Valve

Butterfly Valve

A butterfly valve is a quarter-turn rotational motion valve used to quickly shut off, regulate, or throttle fluid flow in pipelines. It features a rotating circular disc (the "butterfly") mounted on a stem; when closed, the disc blocks the pipe, and when open, it rotates parallel to the flow.

Application:

Water and Wastewater Management: Widely used in water distribution, pumping stations, and sewage disposal for their ability to manage large volumes.
HVAC Systems: Used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning for flow regulation and isolation in cooling towers, boilers, and chillers.
Industrial Processing: Employed in the food, beverage, and chemical industries for controlling fluid flows, often requiring, hygienic, or corrosion-resistant materials.
Oil and Gas/Power Generation: Used in pipelines for high-pressure and high-temperature services (especially double/triple offset types).
Fire Protection: Utilized in firefighting systems and water lines for fire-fighting equipment.
Shipbuilding: Applied in marine applications for seawater management and on-ship piping systems
