Globe Valve

Globe Valve

A globe valve is a linear-motion device designed to start, stop, and regulate (throttle) fluid flow in a pipeline. Named for its spherical body shape, it features an internal baffle with a movable plug or disc that is raised or lowered by a stem to control flow rate. These valves are ideal for high-pressure, high-temperature, and frequent operation environments.

Application:

Throttling and Flow Control: Used to adjust flow rates and pressures, particularly in systems where flow is frequently adjusted.
Industrial Processes: Common in chemical processing, power plants, and manufacturing for managing steam, water, oil, or gas flow.
HVAC Systems: Used in heating and cooling systems to control the circulation of fluids.
Isolation and Regulation: Acting as a shutdown valve, they offer superior sealing compared to other valve types, minimizing leakage.
Specialized Services: Utilized in high-point vents, low-point drains, and for handling hazardous materials.
Angle Valves: A specific configuration of the globe valve is used to change the direction of flow by 90 degrees.
